About DataDock

We build the data infrastructure compliance teams actually need.

DataDock is a compliance intelligence infrastructure company. We provide structured API access to regulatory filing data, global sanctions screening, and govtech data tools, built for developers and used by compliance, legal, and investment teams who need data they can trust.

Unlocking Intelligence at the
Intersection of Open Data and Industry

DataDock.ai is a data intelligence company transforming how organizations harness open data. We specialize in extracting and structuring public datasets such as financial filings, real estate records, procurement data, and regulatory disclosures, and making them actionable across industries.
From financial services and real estate to government and industrial sectors, we bridge the gap between fragmented public information and industry-specific insights, helping clients move faster, act smarter, and stay compliant.

Our Story

Built to close a gap that has existed for too long

The data that compliance professionals, investment analysts, and legal teams depend on every day is largely public. It sits in regulatory filings, watchlists, and government databases, available to anyone. The problem is that accessing it in a usable, structured form requires either expensive enterprise contracts or significant engineering investment.

DataDock was founded to close that gap. We ingest, normalize, and enrich public regulatory data and deliver it through clean, developer-ready APIs at a price point that works for boutique firms, growth-stage companies, and enterprise teams alike.

Our founder brings deep data engineering experience from Microsoft, which gave us a precise view of both the technical challenge and the market opportunity. The compliance data infrastructure market has incumbents charging enterprise prices for data any competent team should be able to access. We intend to change that.

"The data compliance teams need is already public. The infrastructure to access it cleanly, at the right price, is what has been missing."
Backed by Microsoft

DataDock has received a strategic investment and $150K in Azure credits through the Microsoft for Startups program. This validates our infrastructure approach and powers the cloud data pipeline behind every product we ship.

How We Work

The principles that shape everything we build

These are not values on a wall. They are the specific constraints we hold ourselves to when deciding how to build, price, and ship our products.
Principle 01

Publicly sourced, always

Every data product we build draws exclusively from publicly available regulatory filings, government-hosted records, and official watchlists. We do not use proprietary scraping, gray-area data acquisition, or self-reported company data. Every record carries a source citation traceable to the specific regulatory authority that produced it.
Principle 02

Developer-first without exception

Every product ships with clean REST APIs, full OpenAPI documentation, code samples, and quickstart guides before it leaves beta. We do not build products that require a sales call to evaluate. Integration should be measured in hours, not weeks, and the documentation should make that possible without assistance.
Principle 03

Compliance-grade from the start

Audit-ready output, full data lineage, and traceable sourcing are built into the data layer from day one, not added as enterprise features after the fact. Every result we return carries source filing, regulatory authority, publication date, and extraction timestamp. This is not optional and it is not an add-on.
Principle 04

Priced for the teams that need it most

The compliance data market has historically been accessible only to the largest institutions. We believe boutique law firms, growth-stage fintechs, and smaller investment teams deserve the same quality of regulatory data infrastructure. Our pricing reflects that belief, not the pricing of incumbents who have faced no real competition.

Company Timeline

Where we have been and where we are going

Founded
DataDock, Inc. incorporated
DataDock is founded with a clear thesis: the regulatory and public records data that compliance, legal, and investment teams depend on should be accessible through a developer-ready API at a price point that does not require an enterprise budget.
Early Stage
FilingFlow ships and generates first revenue
FilingFlow, DataDock’s regulatory filing intelligence API, reaches paying customers. The product covers private placement activity, ownership threshold disclosures, investment adviser registrations, institutional holdings, and insider transactions with full data lineage on every result.
Partnership
Microsoft strategic investment and Azure credits
Microsoft commits a strategic investment in DataDock and grants $150K in Azure credits through the Microsoft for Startups program. The investment validates DataDock’s infrastructure approach and provides the cloud foundation for the data pipeline behind all four products.
Beta
GlobalComply and SignalFlow enter public beta
DataDock opens public beta programs for GlobalComply, its global sanctions and watchlist screening API, and SignalFlow, its strategic market signals product. Active beta users across both products provide product and integration feedback that shapes the roadmap toward general availability.
Now
Four products. Paying customers. Signed LOIs. Building.
DataDock operates four live or beta products across compliance data, sanctions screening, market signals, and government technology. We have paying customers, signed letters of intent, and an active pipeline converting to revenue. The compliance intelligence platform narrative is taking shape and the seed round is on the horizon.

What We Stand For

The things we will not compromise on

A few commitments we hold regardless of how the business evolves.
Data integrity above all

We will not ship data we cannot source, cite, and stand behind. If a result cannot be traced to a specific regulatory publication, it does not ship. Compliance teams make real decisions on our data and that responsibility is not one we take lightly.

Privacy by design

All DataDock products are built on publicly available data and our data handling practices are aligned with applicable privacy frameworks. We do not store or share user query data with third parties. Individual opt-out is supported across all products.

APIs not pitches

We believe the best way to sell infrastructure is to let people use it. Every DataDock product has a free Explorer tier, full API documentation, and code samples that let developers evaluate the product without a sales conversation. That is how we would want to buy software and it is how we build it.

Accessible pricing, always

We will not move to enterprise-only pricing as we grow. The boutique law firm and the growth-stage fintech will always have a path to the same quality of data infrastructure that larger institutions access. That is the commitment that makes DataDock worth building.

Ship over slide decks

We are a company that builds things. The milestones that matter to us are paying customers, shipped features, and integration feedback from real users, not pitch deck metrics or analyst coverage. We measure ourselves by what we have actually delivered.

Serve teams, not just enterprises

The compliance and regulatory data market has underserved small and mid-size practitioners for a long time. We build for the analyst at a family office, the compliance lead at a Series B fintech, and the attorney at a boutique firm, not just the institutions that can negotiate enterprise contracts.

We are building this in public.

Who We Are

DataDock was founded on a simple but powerful insight: while the availability of open data is growing rapidly, most organizations struggle to make meaningful use of it. Across sectors and geographies, valuable public information remains scattered, unstructured, and difficult to access — often hidden in static documents, siloed systems, or inconsistent formats. We created DataDock to bridge that gap and turn open data into a strategic asset.
Our founding team brings deep experience in cloud infrastructure, artificial intelligence, public data integration, and enterprise analytics. Having worked across highly regulated and data-intensive industries, we saw firsthand the opportunity to transform disconnected public data into intelligence that directly informs decision-making.
At DataDock, we’re building the infrastructure and intelligence layer to unlock the full potential of open data. When delivered through the lens of industry context, public information becomes a powerful tool for reducing risk, identifying trends, improving transparency, and driving operational performance.
